Prawn Masala

INGREDIENTS

  • 500gm Prawns

  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder

  • 3 tbsp Oil

  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds

  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds

  • 1 sprig Curry Leaves

  • 1 Green Chilli slit vertically

  • 10-12 pcs Shallots thinly sliced

  • 1 1/2 tsp Ginger & Garlic Paste

  • 1 Medium Tomato Chopped

  • 3 tsp Aria Kitchen All Purpose Masala

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper powder

  • 1/4 tsp Cumin Powder

  • 1 tsp Coconut Oil

  • Coriander Leaves for garnish


INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Clean the prawns and marinate with 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder with a little salt and set aside.

  2. Heat a wok/frying pan and add oil.

  3. Once the oil is hot, add mustard and cumin seeds. Let both splutter

  4. Add curry leaves and green chilli.

  5. Add the shallots, fry for a couple of minutes and then add the chopped tomato.

  6. Fry till the tomato turns a little mushy and add 1 1/2 tsp of ginger & garlic paste.

  7. Stir until the oil separates. Now add the marinated prawns and stir gently.

  8. Add a little salt followed by 3 tsp of Aria Kitchen All Purpose Masala

  9. Let it cook for 8-10 minutes of medium flame.

  10. Once the prawns are cooked, add black pepper powder & cumin powder and mix.

  11. Leave it for 2 minutes so that the black pepper & cumin powder mix blend with the rest of the masala.

  12. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with rice or curd rice.
